On December 28, 2021, BaFin imposed a fine of EUR 8.66 million on Deutsche Bank AG.
The sanction was based on a violation of Article 16 Paragraph 2 a) of the European Reference Values Regulation (Regulation ( EU ) 2016/1011).
Deutsche Bank AG, as a regulated contributor, has at times not had in place effective systems, controls, and policies to maintain the integrity and reliability of all contributions of input data to the Administrator.
The company can appeal the fine.
