FINANCIAL SECURITY AT CRÉDIT AGRICOLE CIB

As part of the legal and regulatory obligations in force, and in the application of Crédit Agricole S.A. Group policy, Crédit Agricole CIB has put into place a system dedicated to the prevention of money laundering, the financing of terrorism and corruption, and compliance with embargos and asset freezes. This system applies to both the central entity and affiliated units.

CUSTOMER PROTECTION – THE MIFID – COMPLAINTS AND DEPOSIT GUARANTEE SCHEME

The Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID) is a European law, the provisions of which have been transposed into French legislation and regulation. They came into effect on 1 November 2007. MiFID, which was adopted on 21 April 2004, aims to create a single market for financial services with more integrated capital markets and enhanced investor protection.

FATCA (Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act) is a US regulation aimed at reducing tax evasion by US citizens and US residents holding financial assets outside of the United States.
