The credit ratings assigned to NBB by the international rating agencies have been capped to match the credit ratings assigned to the sovereign, the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Despite the application of the cap, NBB believes that it is important to maintain external ratings from a selection of the major rating agencies to demonstrate good corporate governance.
The current ratings, inclusive of the Bahrain country ceiling constraint, are as follows:
