On June 5th 2 of 2017, witnessed by Chinese and Angolan political dignitaries, Mr. Chen Siqing, the then president of Bank of China and the current chairman of board of directors of Bank of China, and Mr.Manuel, the then minister and chef of civil house of Angola, together unveiled the nameplate of Bank of China Luanda Branch, the first Asian bank as well as the first foreign bank established in the form of branch in Angola, celebrating the symbolic moment of the formal entrance in Angolan market of Bank of China.
Bank of China Luanda Branch, former as Luanda representative office established in 2012, with its focus on corporate business, is currently is making all-out effort to promote products such as deposits, loans, transfers/remittances, international settlement, trade financing, financial markets, etc., conducting actively cross-border guarantee /financing business between China and Angola, dedicated to providing comprehensive and efficient financial services to all clients.
In the future, following closely the strategic goal of “building a world-class bank in a new era”, the Bank of China Luanda Branch will bring the Group’s advantages into full play in cross-border services, building bridge for financial cooperation in order to further promote economic and trade exchanges between China and Africa.
