Bank Of China Limited Succursale De Genève

Founded in 1912, Bank of China is China’s most globalized and integrated bank. The Geneva branch was officially opened on October 12, 2021. It is the first Chinese bank established in Geneva.

Bank of China Limited, Geneva Branch is located at Tour de l’Ile 1, in the heart of Geneva. The building contains a tower of a castle which was completed by Bishop Aymé de Grandson in 1219. The only remaining part of the castle, the tower has undergone over 800 years of successive modification. It bears witness to the glorious history of this international city. The reason the building was selected by the branch is that its historical and cultural status matches the characteristic of more than 100 years of Bank of China history.

The Geneva agency aims to meet the needs and service of Chinese companies in Switzerland and Swiss companies and financial institutions. The branch actively carries out deposits, loans, remittances, international settlements, trade finance and other activities, providing strong financial support for China-Switzerland economic and trade exchanges.

The Bank of China branch in Geneva also focuses on the needs of commodity-related businesses (producers, traders, transporters and processors). In line with the Chinese government’s “Belt and Road” initiative, the branch will play an important role in providing financing and other financial services to companies and projects related to this initiative.
